I would only do this now on new permissions gained in that year.
Would cost me a complete fortune otherwise

I stick to the ones that Let me shoot all their land and not the
ones who just want me to do them a service by shooting vermin
for them ! Costs me about £120 which i don't think is bad at all
considering the amount of time i spend on the land over a year .

       :) it's nice to be nice :)
PS GROUND NEEDED FOR ANY TYPE OF SHOOTING lol

every year land gets harder and harder to not only get but to
keep ,i always give and i let you know that it has kept me on
lands that are totally closed now ,many years ago one of my
farmers had 3 young boys and Walt Disney videos were all the age
and with not having much money it was all i could afford 2
videos ,well 25 years later them young boys control the farm and
i was just asked to get 2 of the guns i went with them to
maryland and both bought .22 rimfire brand new and a semiauto
each, the farm is getting closed for them to shoot or should i
say us to shoot and a suitable location for a pond being decided
2 permanent hides have been placed a flooded areas of fields
although it only 250 acres it enough for me ,over the years i ve
shot geese, duck, pheasant and plenty of pigeons in the summmer
That farmer has also got me on land were theres plenty of
       shooting either pigeons and crows
My advice is even a bunch of flowers for his wife will go along
way in keeping your feet on their land

Couldn't agree more Duck Caller ! A wee bunch of flowers or a
bottle shows you appreciate them ... Thats all it takes .

I would always sort the farmers out with a bottle of
Whiskey/Scotch etc. The way I view it is if you approached a
farmer who owned 100 acres of land and asked him for permission,
and he said no problem but it'll cost you £50, would you pay it?
I reckon most people would given the difficulty of gaining
permission. Now imagine you got the permission for free. A
bottle of Whiskey seems cheap compared to what you maybe would
have paid to get the permission in the first place. I've had to
buy 7 bottles of drink this Christmas. Expensive for a one off
purchase at this time of the year, but definitely worth every
       penny :)
