How quick can you fire .223?

When shooting a .223 rifle how quick can you fire each round of
one after the other without overheating the barrel and doing
damage, like when you are zeroing or maybe doing a bit of target
practice. If i fire about 3 or 4 rounds of pretty quick theres a
rite bit of heat in the barrel and the sound moderator and im
worried about doing damage to the barrel.
Im just using a Howa 1500 with a standard barrel

When shooting groups in a light barrel it's the norm to shoot 3
shoots then wait 5mins or 5 shoots with a heavy barrel but
that's just to keep accuracy up.
The barrel may feel warm to you as ur made of of flesh
obviously.
Steel melts from 1300c to 1500c depending on properties so say
ur gun heated to 100c it would burn ur skin but the gun will
only be heated to a margin or what it can take.
Look at machine guns and service rifles that literally go red
hot and after cooling there still as accurate.
You'll find you will damage ur stock before the rifle with heat.
Did this with my old hmr hot so warm the stock dropped at the
front 100mm

Would accuracy change if u shot a lot and the barrel got warm
and then if u let it cool completly would the poi change? Would
shooting more than 3 rounds without cooling damage the rifling?

As long as u have a good stock on ur rifle and it's well bedded
and with a free floating barrel u will have to make it red hot
or more before poi shift.
Many full auto machine guns barrels glow red hot at times.
All comes down to a stock that can stick the heat
Do after 3 or 5 or 30 you should not have and poi shift.
