Have you ever had any problems with the sole coming away from
sole?
For years I've been using German para boots, they're hard
wearing and comfy, but the last couple of pairs, the rubber sole
has separated after a short time. Might try the ECW's as an
alternative.

highly recommend altberg sneekers , they are not gortex but to
be honest, gortex boots are terrible.
if you get water into them from top of boot then it can take
days to dry out.
my altberg sneekers are just as good at keeping water out if you
use Leder-Gris Original on them (supplied by altberg), and if
they do get wet from water coming in the top, they will dry out
in minutes.
the way they are designed and laced you can take to your knee
without any stress on any part of the foot or ankle.
best boot money can buy. like wearing a pair of trainers.
plenty on ebay
(for gortex version you will need altberg sneekers aqua if
that's what you really want))

I am selling a pair of new ECW's size 9.
I bought them on ebay but too big. I have since bought a size 8
in them and they fit perfectly.
Looking £60.
