       Homemade kydex cheek piece (experiment)

Debated whether or not to post this, but thought might as well
to give you all something to look at lol I always need to raise
the comb on rifle stocks for a good cheek weld, normally use
rubber comb raisers but they're not ideal, so thought I'd make
an adjustable comb raiser similar to types I'd seen online.
There's plenty of videos on YouTube how to do this, so here's a
few pics. Nb i only got a 0.75mm thick sheet of kydex (basically
abs plastic) to try the process so it's not as sturdy as 3mm or
       6mm will be.

Rubber comb raisers I use at the mo (normally taped down and
       covered by stock bag)

Cut the kydex sheet to size, measured against the comb of the
stock and marked the centreline, etc

Next measure and mark the slots that the bolts go through and
       then drill them out

And this is what you should end up with

Next put the kydex in the oven to get it ready to mould, 100ish
degrees, wait til it goes floppy (hehehe)

Then place it over the stock and mould it down to the shape of
the comb (the tape it just to make sure the kydex is centred)

At this stage I'd mark the stock through the cheek piece slots
to drill the holes for the bolts to go through to hold the cheek
piece on. So seems an easy enough process, It'll be a bit more
difficult cutting the thicker sheets but apart from that seems
       simple enough ;)
