Got a call to deal with some foxes tonight, got one but noticed
a rabbit looking a bit strange when I was walking about, eyes
looked quite gummed up so i shot it. Looks like mixy to me but
only seen it a couple of times a few years ago, can anyone say
for definite?

That's probably because myxi flairs up in summer , winter tends
to kill it off to a degree ..
Myxi rabbits are still ok to eat or feed to the dogs to , don't
know if I'd eat one though :P

I remember hearing about an oul boy, who reckoned when the myxi
came along in the 50's it was a great job cos he could then
catch his dinner by hand ;D
