       What's the law on shooting in the republic??

       I have some ground just over the border that is set in wheat and
       barley every year and the owner is always telling me to go shoot
       the crowd and pigeons for him, but what do I have to do to make
       sure I'm not braking the law with regards firearms and
       ammunition being taking over the border??
       Can anyone shin some light on this?? Cheers...

       A fast car and a balaclava are a must! ;)
       Lol on a serious note, most people I know that shoot in roi alot
       seem to get an roi licence issued as well, just to be safe. The
       Europeans firearms pass isn't worth the paper it's written on
       and doesn't (or didn't used to) cover you to shoot in roi.

       its 40euro per gun, and can take anywhere from 2weeks-4months
       to get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
       it took mine 2weeks as we took on a forest lease and all 8 of
       us put in for the licenses at the 1 time and we all got them
       back in 2weeks, my cousin applied in feb and has only got his
       through on thursday...
