I have just sent off for my first license for .22 rilfe and a
12g shotgun I have 160 acres to shoot on do you think there will
be any difficulties getting approved

Shotgun should grand depends on lay of land for rifle I think
...

Hi neilly thanks for the input I already have relatives on the
same land using rifles on it plenty of back stops and well away
from public

also..... don't be in a rush to go and buy all your Gucci
gear....
I applied first week of april and im still waiting for my
licence to come through.
best to forget about it now for a few months lol

Is that normal that sorta of wait, do they make any contact with

Theres no such thing as normal when it comes to lisnasharragh.
Lottery would be a better word to use.
Can take anything from 3,6,9 months!
You recieve a letter saying they have your application.
Your local feo will contact you to either call with you or ask
you to goto the local psni station for an interview.
He/she will check out your land you put down on application.
Then its a waiting game from lisnasharragh.
After they say yes.your feo will arrange to come and inspect
your cabinet.
Then you recieve the licence.
Though as I say. Dont be expecting it within the next few
months...possibly more!!

The mate of mine had his back last week!
.22 rifle first application and got it within 6 weeks

I know that someone has signed for receiving my application a
week ago as I sent it royal mail tracked but no letter yet to
say that they have received it

3 Weeks for my .22 Diana Air Rifle and then 3 weeks for a
variation to hold/use ammo for my .22 LR Voere. I found
Lisnasharragh to be most helpful and informative at all times.
