Hi Folks
Anyone know of clay shoots in the Portglenone or surrounding
areas where a body could gain a bit of practice?
Have been messing around with a trap of my own but when you miss
its hard to why you missed etc etc or anyone fancy meeting up a
time or two over the holiday period for a bit of practice &
craic?

Theres a good little shoot in the village of inishrush which is
not far. Every saturday evening from about noon. They do a 30
bird dtl and a 30 sporting for less than £10. I think semiauto
from this forum is going to carnview farm near glarryford to
shoot clays next friday afternoon. I intend to go over myself
for a couple of hours if you wish to join us.

I'm up for going over to Cairnview next Friday if you lads are
going (sometimes easier taging along with others till you get
the lay of the land) Yea Innisrush is handy do you know if they
shoot on Sundays too? Times when I'm out in the fields on a
Sunday morning I hear shooting (way to much to be someone in a
field) tho it seems to be coming from the south side of the
village of Portglenone?

maboy I don't think any of us are goin to Carnview today, I had
to change my plans as my mate who coaches there is too busy
today, maybe woodcock is still for goin -- you'd need to check
with him

Called down to Innisrush today to meet the lads there but it was
all closed up and no sign of recent action. Had a nosey around
and met an older man that informed me that it used to be one of
the best shoots in the area tho in the past few years it has
been dying due to poor management and no one in particular being
in control. Aparently it runs most Sat evenings ( at 5pm) over
the spring and summer months, so I'll call again in the clear
evenings and you never know there may be potential to get it
back to life again!
