How often should i clean my PCP air rifle, its a BSA superten
and i bought it second hand at the start of the year and i have
firerd well more than 500 pellets through it and i have never
cleaned anything on it apart from oiling the metal work.
Does the barrel or any mechanisms need cleaned?

I don't clean mine, just oil the bolt and wipe down the outside,
too many seals and fiddly things to break lol

Don't worry about cleaning the bore unless you are having
problems with accuracy. Lube the bolt with a bit of teflon dry
lube. I only clean the internal when I'm replacing seals.

I have mine about 6 years now & never cleaned it.
It will still make a 1 hole group at 40 yards. If accuracy falls
away I will see then.

Thanks guys. Would Hoppe's 9 lubricating oil be good enough for
lubricating the bolt?

Once again Jacob, mine has never seen oil either. Just a wipe
down with a rag after each use m8.

It's very rare a pcp will need cleaned
Some target barrels like to be cleaned for some reason beyond me
but they do as for most pcp rifles don't bother unless it ain't
gonna be used for a long time a clean and a oil will help
against rusting
