I’m looking at get an Air Rifle for Ratting around farm
buildings and other vermin shooting. It’s been a long time from
my first Air Rifle, so a wee bit out of the loop of all the new
stuff. I see that there are so good British manufactures now, so
is that the way to go?

It really all depends on what you want to spend and if you want
to go with a pcp or springer .
I have an Air Arms S510 extra which I think is a great bit of
kit , but again it is really down to what you want to spend .
I use mine around the farm for rats and pigeons so I know it
will do the job you want , and a lot more to be honest !!!!

For ratting around the farm and a wee bit of other vermin
(pigeons the odd rabbit) a good second hand springer would do
the job without breaking the bank. If you have a few pound to
spend then definitely have a look at the air arms PCP rifles,
you wont be disappointed.
If you dont want to spend too much as i said a good springer
(Weirauch HW97 or similar)
I am sort of looking at the minute as the farmer i know wants to
get rid of a few ferals and i dont want to punch holes in his
shed with the rimfire ::).
Although have got a few low velocity rounds (around 700 odd fps)
going to try them out again to see how they would fair..
