What did yous all think of the game fair? I thought it was a
good set-up but would have liked some game on offer in the food
tent instead of curry, pizza or chip cart. Good day had by all
anyway

Just alrite, could have done wiith more things happening in the
arenas. Most times i went over it was empty. The lurcher racing
wss good. Less crap stalls and more related stalls and events.

It was a bit lean especially for a £12 entry fee. Add in a wife
and 3 kids over 12 and it's a bloody dear day out. Not that much
shooting and fishing stuff. I won't be in a hurry back.
Shanes is usually a bit busier.

Lacked the atmosphere usually associated with a game fair no
trees, grass etc, it seems to have moved away from the
traditional game fair and moved to a general day out with a few
aspects of countrysports thrown in. The site does have potential
and if it stays there it will get better, I'm sure the balmoral
show will be pumping money into the site to improve it but the
organisers would need to seriously look at the way they want to
move the fair weather or not they want a game fair or general
day out. Surely there would be plenty of estates or country
parks that would be crying out for such events. I like to
support countrysports events but this game fair was seriously
lacking something. And you always think your missing out on
something by not going to them, but I missed out on nothing. A
well looking forward to Shane's castle it has a brilliant
setting and great things at it.
