My new Howa 1500 .223 looking some advice

My new Howa 1500 in .223

Looking for some advice on using it, how often should i clean
the barrel? I have a bore snake here for it and i have shot the
barrel in as told by the gun dealer.
What sorta range should i zero it for?
Whats a good bullet to be using for it?
What sorta rise and fall is on the bullet when it leaves the
barrel?

ss has pretty much summed it up i do the same as him. and never
store your rifle with the moderator on if u have one.

Thanks, are those non tipped bullets the FMJ rounds? Thats wat
im usign atm .
Young guns at Castledawson. I got the stealth package from
highland outdoors ordered in £800 for the gun, scope, bipod,
carry case and moderator (im still waiting on it, its on back
order). Quite a good deal i thought he was the cheapest dealer i
could get it off.

Just be careful with fmj's they bounce and ricochet like hell

Yea I'm shittin me sel when takin a shot. I'm very limited when
takin shots all these rabbits seem to be in bad positions

Yeah had plenty of brown trouser moments lol That's what I miss
about my old 10/22, you were never sure if you were going to
shoot the rabbit or yourself lol

Jesus! Worst I had was one bouncing back and whizzing past my
ear! Funny tho when I tell people not to shoot steel targets
with a 22 they look at me as if I've grown 3 heads ::)
I usually pull through about 6 times, first pull or two youll
feel some resistance but after that the snake just glides
through
