Blue green algae at Hillsborough lake

Saw a Lisburn Council sign warning of blue green algae on
       Hillsborough lake.
Mind you, the sign was an A4 laminated sheet with font size 12
ish so not much use to the lads who were fishing
       today.............
First warning I've ever seen though, about blue green algae.
       Cheers, monty

A woman I worked with lives close by and she told me that 12
dogs were killed in a fortnight from swimming in it last summer.
       Apparently it's poisonous to dogs.

Stoneyford reservoir. Had the same signs up a few weeks ago my
springer came out in a powerful rash from swimming in it .
Obviously this was a few days before the signs appeared

Now that you two have finished your bromance, ;D did a dozen

I'll see the woman tomorrow at work. I'll ask her again. She
walks her lab in the park daily.
