Just got my SACS Newletter for May 2014, plenty of interesting
stuff.
The articles about snaring, firearms/air guns, poultry keeping,
tail docking, dog control, wild fisheries, lurchers in Scotland
make interesting reading. There might be some relevance to NI,
because you never know what will happen at Stormont.........
but the story about the Snaring Prosecution makes a particularly
good read, especially since you can never get enough advice
about what to do if you encounter Police/USPCA!
Make sure you read the article about organising events, on Page
8. There's a few good points to bear in mind about what purpose
your event is for.
The Insurance matter section on Page 11 covers one wee point
that I never really new about , as a SACS member!
In the NI notes, the Banding system, Compulsory Training in
Fireams, the Banding system, Young shooters, red squirrels, are
good reads too...........
SACS will be at Balmoral this year at the end of May, Ballykelly
in August, and should be at Shane's Castle too!
Adverts are at the front and back of the Newletter.
The SACS logo has changed and it looks like the website,
branding and membership categories will look different too!
Apparently £30,000 has been saved in admin etc. so I wonder can
SACS members make suggestions about what to spend the money on
;D
Cheers, monty
