Will you elaborate as to what advice you are looking for?
       Standard or E series?

in very good order just want to know are the spares easy to get
and are they as reliable as and is the trigger as good as my
       cz85.

I would assume it is this model then in the link. I could not
find many 1911 models by S&W in 9mm.
Reference the trigger, I find they are a personal choice and you
would need to test it personally to know if it is for you. My
experience is the Springfield 1911 and the original Colt GI 1911
(that was a beast). Two totally different triggers in my
       opinion.
Parts may be harder to find but they are available, they just
may be more expensive than you want to spend. Midway UK for
example can get most things but you will pay for them.
Once you know more about the model, some of the guys may be able
to give more light on this.
       I love 1911s by the way :)

There aren't many pistol shooters who don't have a soft spot for
the 1911 . I have a soft spot for them myself , but have never
shot a S&W model . Best to get a few rounds down the range and a
good look at it before committing to buying it .

The problem with this country is that the firearms laws do not
cater for try before you buy, especially when it comes to
pistols. S&W make some fantastic guns, but when it comes to
1911's there are only a few core manufacturers who have got it
right. Colt, Kimber etc. Factory triggers on 1911's are childs
play to adjust or swap out, but I've yet to come across a S&W
trigger I didn't like on both their revolvers and semi autos.

I agree totally Dancake ! You really need to know someone at the
range with the pistol your wanting , in the case a S&W 1911 ,
most guys would be happy to give you a shot if your wanting to
buy one . Haven't shot this 1911 but I'm sure if it's been kept
well and it's the right money it's hard to go wrong with S&W .
