attaching cabinet to stud wall

Going to be attaching my cabinet to a stud wall. What would be
the best bolts to use.?

I think it supposed to be fixed to a solid wall unless you live
in a timber framed house, but I'm sure someone on here will be
able to help you

Or concrete floor to be bolted to or if it's a caravan or boat
it's to be bolted to the chassis.
Yes some people live on boats and have guns lol

Def a solid wall Police wont accept anything else unless bolted
to solid floor ;)

Cheers chid!
After talking to my local feo about my timber framed house. I
was told by her that its perfectly acceptable to be bolted to a
stud wall so long as it's out of sight and does not move when
she tries to rip it off.

all it says in the act is fixing to wood should be avoided ,
there is plenty of fac holders on the mainland wih gun cabinets
fastend to stud walls .....
it might not seem right but using coach screws in both the back
and base a cabinet should be pretty impossable to move ...
still rather have it fitted to brick/block work though

Folks.... dont shoot the messenger! Just stating what was said
to me.
Was asked if I had a dog and was the house fully alarmed with
lockable windows etc.
To which I replied yes. Ì was then told that you can fix it to a
stud wall so long as its out of view.
In the event of a house not having a single solid wall (inc
loft) and downstairs being out of the question (full view of
both kitchen and living room ). Then fixing to stud upstairs in
wall and floor would be fine.

You may watch yourself or some fucker will parachute in the roof
window with a toffee hammer and be away with your cabinet and a
new sheet of plasterboard.
