I wouldn't buy one. I would try to stick to Air Arms
TX200, HW 80 or HW 97. BSA also do some decent springers.

Any specific reason why you wouldnt buy snap?
Youtube test makes it look good (though im guessing they all get
       good reports on youtube )
I have £400 sitting for everything inc £50 for fac and 3 gun
cabnet £120 so that leaves £230 for a rifle.
Edit... just had a look at the hw97k and thats the very one I
want, dont ask me why lol. I just seen it and thought "thats the
       one".
Best online price I see inc delivery to my local gunshop is
£349.. then theres the cost of a scope ? Etc...

Hi Thompy and welcome to the forum., ;D
AS SNAP said id try and stick to the main makers of rifles,
Ive just checked the reviews of them and they seem ok however
thats the 1st ive heard of them EVER :-\
if it was me id pass bud... the scope they come with are rubbish
and its sub 12flbs so its not very powerful
chances are its around 10-11 flbs as they have been built for
the English market by the looks of it.. to give you an Idea my
air rifle is 20flbs Snaps is 33 flbs
If you buy it and when it comes time to resell it Dealers will
prob only offer you around £30-50 :-\
I bought a .22LR rifle setup last year ago for £500. i went to
sell it a few weeks ago and the best offer i got was £200!!
And if anything was to go wrong with it, would parts be easy to
       get ?
you can pick up a good springer for around £200
just keep phoning round all the dealers every few days and find
a good make that will last a life time...
as for a safe try and find a second hand one some of the boys on
hear might have one for sale and check gumtree.
you can pick them up for a around £60-£80
If you're like myself and don't have the extra funds needed
right now but don't want to wait for another few weeks/months
then you could ....... SNAP will prob kill me for this LOL but
you can buy a Brand New
Hatsan striker Break barrel air rife for £150-£200 with scope.
I think its a better gun by far and its also 18Flb so alot more
powerful and a few dealers keep them now so parts should be easy
       enough to get Hopefully..
       Hope this helped lol

Hammerli are a major firearms manufacturer, and they produce
some of the most accurate target pistols and Biathlon rifles in
the world, but their air rifles are not as well known. If they
are still manufactured by Hammerli and not contracted to a third
party for making, I'd say they would most likely be spot on. BSA
do make good spring rifles, but nowhere near as good as Air Arms
and Weihrauch. These two companies dominate the spring airgun
world for a reason. However, that's not to say that every other
spring airgun maker produces crap air rifles. I remember using a
Diana side lever and thought it was great. If you can get down
to a field target set up you'll get a better feel for what you
       might want to go for.

       Hi thompy
Ive no experience of air rifles so cant help on that front.
Regards your safe i got one from sperrin metal works!its a four
gun and plenty big was only £85 also i here the guys talking
       about warmflow ones!
Might be worth a look and itll leave more money in the budget
       for the rifle.

I would agree with Snap AirArms TX200 is a great rifle 18 ftlb I
think ! Only reason I changed was I went down the pcp route .
I'm sure you could pick up a second hand one for around £250 no
bother , think I paid £380 for a new one a few years back . If
you get an fac rated springer make sure you get a scope that can
take the extra shock ! Some scopes won't take the abuse the fac
       rated springers will give .
All the best , but don't rush into getting something you don't
really like, just because it's a bit cheaper , maybe wait and
save a little more and get the one that you really like .
       Regard John

I would try and stick with the Bigger names in the air gun
world. £250 - £300 for a Air Arms or the HW range (2nd hand). A
guy I shoot with bought a new HW 97k for field target shooting
and they are really accurate. He could hit targets no problem
       out to 60 yards.

Guys thank you very much for all the info.
       Regarding the gun cabnets.
ill get in contact with the metal works as there are none on
gumtree at the minute. Iv already rang warmflow who say their 2
       rifle cabnet is £120.
My only problem is that im hoping to send off for my fac today
(if I can find a farmer to sign it).
But on the application you need to enter the serial number of
the rifle. (Which I dont have at the minute).
Some very sound advice there from all of you. Many thanks once
       again.

You will need to pick your rifle 1st. Your
gun dealer will then fill out your fac's application
section regarding the rifles details, calibre
Serial number etc. You will then need to
get a land owner to sign the application.
