       Side by side trigger problem
       By: babbyc1000 Date: April 3, 2014, 8:02 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Having a bit of trouble with my s/s and thought I'd ask if
anyone had any ideas. 9 times out of 10 the gun runs fine, but
every so often the rear trigger / left barrel won't fire. When I
pull the trigger instead of a crisp release I feel the trigger
mushing up; if I snatch the trigger back after this it'll fire,
       but obviously not ideal.
I can pull apart pumps and s/a's and fix them no problem, but
when it comes to s/s and o/u it's like witchcraft lol the gun
isn't worth much (more sentimental than anything) and its only
out once or twice a year, don't want to throw a load of money
away getting a gunsmith to look at it, just wondering if its
       anything I could do myself?

Sxs are easy enough to strip down I done mine when the
       mainspring broke

I've stripped it down but can't see what the problem is tbh :(
it's an old Spanish s/s 12ga called "the basque", quite old, I'd
guess 20yr+ at a minimum but more than likely far older. More
sentimental value with it than anything else, plus I can usually
hit whatever I aim at with it so its worth it's weight in gold
in that respect. Ah looks like ill have to do more investigating
and leave it into someone who knows what they're doing :-\
