.22 WMR

Anyone using the Magnum? - hearing good reports about the new
30g V-max rounds. The HMR seems to be the preferred tool
nowadays [I own a HMR and really like it] but I might trade my
little used .22lr for a Magnum as I rarely use the .22lr. [as
long as I can have the Magnum already being the owner of a
HMR!].

I had a wmr for about 10 years and traded it in for a. 17 it was
a good enough rifle but I wouldn't go back to it the. 17 is a
lot flat et and better all round rifle if it was me I would be
holding on to what you have got!

Thanks for reply Lee, the availability of new ammo in recent
years for the WMR seems to be making folk take another look at
this calibre. It was never regarded as the most accurate round,
but the new ammo has changed that and many now find it an
accurate and very hard hitting round. Still nowhere near as
popular as the HMR which still has the edge over 100 yards over
the WMR.

You'd only end up with 2 rifles that are "near" the same.
