I'm not sure if u should do this. The rifling is different I
think in a 16 inch barrel compared to a 20 inch barrel. And if u
shorten it u will have to recrown it. Tbh u will prob ruin the
accuracy of the gun. I'd just go and swap it for a 16 inch model

A friend got his Cz cut from 20 to 16 re crowned and screw cut
again. Never affected accuracy one bit.

When they import the cz a lot are 20" and the gunshops just get
them cut down , the rifling is no different

Its only centerfire rifle that suffer accuracy probs after
cutting as they have more compression.
All the compression/powder is burnt in the first 14"/16" of a
       rimfire.
If the person in queation has good lathe skills and know how to
do a good crown let him work away.

The crown would be the most important issue with a barrel chop -
accuracy wise. I think its cut at 11 degrees.
