Whats you views on this
A farmer askes for pheasants to be cleared up as they are a pest
around his feed stores.

was going ta post something simailr ..out on saturday on woodies
over the fields and spyed a couple of nice big cock pheasant
..thought ah sure no-one would know ...but then thought na ..out
of season ..let them live another day ..plus season is over
..and my mate has said before ..if caught with them you could
lose your cert ..now i dodnt no if that true ..cause i have a
couple in frezzer that i will be deforsting on a month or 2 to
train the pups on ...pity really cause i managed ta get fuck all
..lol

I was wondering this as well, if a game species like pheasant or
hare are being a pest, is it legal to shoot them when out of
season?

Most land owners don't mind the pheasants around the place but
this man has a dislike to them because of the feed they are
taking from the calfs. I can see his point they are a pest to
him. But I'm not risking my cert over a few birds.

Think hares be ok but pheasants I wouldn't risk .. Am sure
someone with more experience will enlighten you

Check what the general licence says can be shot as a pest,
there's a few different sections for health pests, farm pests,
etc. remember tho many farmers class badgers as pests yet I
wouldn't want to be caught shooting them!
