the end of 2013/14 season for me

well guys got a spin out today with the season ending and the
long wait ahead. anyway headed to the lough. such a day!!
firstly there is a hell mount of water init so waded out with
bot 2in to spare on my waders slight ribble, but made it out and
set up and waited until 9ish before I seen my first bird a
goldeneye came to close for a nosey one down sent the dog would
she go NOPE >:( so waded over to bot 10ft then she decided to
retrieve it, next a tuffy came in 2 barrels at it but she
laughed on the way out at me then bot a hour another tuffty came
in I hit it and droped it but didn't kill it so sent the dog
again as she seen it fall wouldn't go for it ether so walked out
and threw a stone over it and she went for it but as I said it
wasn't dead so she chased it and it dove ::) so when it surfaced
again she half hearted went for it but no interest :-[. so went
to fire a shot to kill it and the gun would fire WTF WTF. so
striped the gun down and couldn't see what was wrong build it
back and tried it still the same so stripped back down and found
a pin bend so eventually got it straight and back in. in the
meantime 10/12 tufftys land ed in decoys ::) :'(. so they got up
and away and I put a cartridge in the gun to try it and just as
I pulled the trigger I noticed 4 tuffys wings locked into the
decoys but to late.away they went fffffffffffffffffFK. bot ten
min later a redhead came around the back of me bang he was dead
and sent the dog or should I say sent myself :-[. so the weather
was getting worse so I said time to get out of town Brendan. but
the waves were over my waders so ended up putting 2 coats over
my waders to try keep water out so decoys gathered back to the
shore stripped off and looked for the dog still in the hide
fffs. so I done the only thing I could at this stage walked back
to the car and put the gun away >:(and then came back for the
decoys still no dog brought the decoys back to the car and had
to go back. she was still in the hide and by this stage I
couldn't get back out to her cause of the waves. called and
called her would she come ended up went out as far as I could
about ten ft amd called some more. such a day. I think what has
happened her is the last day she was out had a really long
retrieve in very rough contitions and has got nervous. so this
be the last photo youll prob see off her. so now I have no dog
and gun hada go back to get fixed

to retrieve my geese lol
