Going pike fishing on Tuesday!

Can't wait to get out on Tuesday for the day! First time proper
pike fishing in years. It'll have to be dead bait as it's in a
trout lake. Any tips would be much appreciated.... What's
working best for u anglers out there? On the bottom or on the
float? There's a lot of big pike in this lake /pond it's that
small lol. But it's getting them to seat the bait and not the
1000s of fish in there

Biggest Pike I ever saw was 29 lbs caught in a Trout lake over
here using salted Herring as deadbait. Haven't had any luck with
theplugs recently. The Pike seem to follow the rattling plugs
but won't take them. I'd stick with the deadbait and see how you
get on.

I love using pollen as it sits up off the bottom without using
float because off it's swollen swim blader, or lamprey as it's
very bloody ;) good luck and tight lines m8

I always start off just popped up off the bottom then if nothing
is taking move up about 2 foot at a time, just remember not to
be lazy and move your bait about ;D......enjoy tomorrow and let
us know how you get on ;)

Tight lines, last time out my mate and I had two fish a twelve
pound pike and a four and half pound rainbow, both on float
fished eight inch joeys, that's the second rainbow I have had on
mackerel dead bait. Both returned by the way, suspect the trout
anglers might have taken exception to size of my hooks, the last
fish was probably the best conditioned trout I have seen from
that water. Anyway good luck!.
