Does anyone know if you get a discount on Irish Sea crossings
from being a member of BASC?

Yes, from memory I think it's about 10%.
Phone the NI BASC office and they'll fill you in on the latest
       deals.

       Hi maboy,
Check out The other associations as well, they do ferry travel
discount too, that would give you more choice if you're able to
join one of them, try Basc or CAI or SACS or country Sports
       Ireland
General advice I, Most don't restrict travel to the season, so
if you're taking the car and caravan and the family, you save
the same amount as your membership fee in one trip. Likely all
you need to do with most, is phone up with your mem details then
bring your documents with you as proof.
Better still, the different associations provide discount with
one or the other of the ferry companies, for example SACS with
P&O and basc with Stena (or the other way round).
       Cheers,
       Monty

Yes, I'd recommend it! Biggest and best you'll ever see!
       Though bring plenty of ££££££££££££££££££
I went with an NI exhibitor for the three days, and thought it
was magic. Put it like this, if the combined stalls etc at
Moira and Shane's where labelled A and B, then the CLA would
have A to Z plus another A to Z, and maybe more, then the big
number of arenas on top of that!
People spotting is class too, on Fri the estate managers etc
turn up for business, so plenty of red cords on display,
Even some minor Royals, and other arse-a-crockery, I mean
aristocracy, types. If you think you're middle class then think
again, the English Middle class are unbelievable.
Not sure if the three day pass was @£90, but you need 3 days to
see it all. The caravan park across the road was packed and is
a good cheap option. The car queues to get in started at @6am
too, we had to stay an hour up the motor way at a service
       station, accommodation was so full.
No doubt advance booking gets you cheaper tickets though.
       Hope this helps, cheers,
       Monty

I've never been to the CLA, but the Midland Game Fair is also
       excellent.
The only problem with going to the big fairs in England is that
you don't want to go to the local ones, once you have seen what
a fair should really be like. :)
I know about the politics behind there not being just one big
Game Fair in Northern Ireland, instead of two or three smaller
ones, but wouldn't it be great if we could have just one really
good one, instead of what we've got presently?
