Is there anyway that new forum members have to do an
introduction before they can trawl through the forum????

simple way is to make it a closed forum and have to be accepted.
but not sure of the logistics of that

Just arrange to meet prospective members in Belfast City Centre,
then get them to dress up as a pigeon and harrass bargain
shoppers for 10 minutes. Anyone who doesn't do it is deemed
sensible enough to join. Something tells me we would have a few
less members if this was the way it worked when the forum
started lol

I'm in the BSA owners group forum. They have a 30 post rule with
limited access to certain parts of forum. Tough going but keeps
people out who cant be bothered or otherwise!!

I do know that certain parts of the forum are locked to non
members and only become accessible when they sign up.

I know that we don't want to be like other forums and have
countless of rules but I will have a word with Snap and see what
he thinks on the matter.

Before i joined i had a good look through the posts and various
sections, this encouraged me to join as it seemed informative
and friendly combined. If it had been closed i might have moved
on. A closed forum might have the opposite effect, it might keep
a few knobs out but also discourage proper shooters/fieldsports
people as well.
Now that i think of it maybe thats what you boys are talking
about, keeping the rif raf like me out.... ::)
