       PIKE FISHING (anybody else at it yet?)

       well guys as yous probably no ive fell out with shooting for
       the rest of the season so it FISHING TIME FOR ME!!!. ive been
       having a little success but all small fish so far but at least I
       havnt blanked. new year day saw me with a wee 2-3lb pike for all
       day fishing.
       we headed out on Friday for a couple of hours with my mate's new
       kayak.(wish santa hada brought me it instead) :'(. so we set the
       rods up and he asked me If I wanted a go well I said yes but id
       better not as it was his first time out with it and I didn't
       want to catch a fish in it b4 him. so he headed out for bot half
       a hour around the lake throwing a couple of different lures. in
       the meantime I got a hit and reeled it in, was roughly 5lb but
       poss 6 but ill call 5 for argument sake.
       then it was my go so out I went with my box of tricks, was a bit
       shakey at the start but after a cast r two soon settled in, so
       after bot 10mins I decided to go for old faithfull a big
       ................ . who guessed it a copper spoon. 2 casts and
       bang a wee pike happy days so took a photo ;) but it was bloody
       freezing so back into the bank.
       sat for a couple of hours with nothing other than 1 take but it
       wasn't hooked so lost it bot half hour later got another take
       this time I landed it 2 1/2 lb it weighed in at lol. (it had
       been caught b4 cause there was another trace still in it which I
       cut out as best I could because it was right down)
       then 10min later another take on the same rod and same place,
       this time just over 3lb. so happy days four fish for the day.
       hopefully it keeps like this not be long til im in the double
       figures( fingers crossed)
