hope you all got more shooting than me today

Was out in the rain for 4 hours today and only ended up with 1
woodcock although to be fair every where i went the local hunt
had already been but still a poor showing

Also shot a snipe but my fookin dog ate it whole any tips on how
to stop him doing this again much appreciated

I suppose its not brendy was more pissed off about the dog eatin
the snipe and then while cleaning the woodcock i discovered the
dog had crunched it too ffs
It was the killultagh hunt they are out hereabout four times a
year

you need to get urself a good lab pup and I no were you could
get 1 ;) lol. I used to follow killultagh a bit when I had the
terriers years ago when I lived up there in stioneyford. where
were they this year on boxing day I thought they normally around
crumlin/glenavy on boxing day?

stoneyford the day i posted this
Your labs are cracker lookin but im after a springer i think for
working cover
Know anyone lookin a brittany lol

Only Put up about five but good training for the lab, and the
black and white springer managed to keep up even though he's 11
years old.
Still can't figure out if sheltered areas from the wind, sunny
areas are best for holding woodcock. Maybe you lads have some
tips?
Anyway, glad to get out, was working at home over the last
couple of days.
