Pity that. Mate of mine had one a few years back. It was ok but
I think we destroyed it by hunting it along with a springer.
Enden up it wouldn't point but worked too far in front to be any
good.

well done turk on your first woodcock! yes your right you should
have said very very difficult lol. can I make a suggestion to
you if its wildfowling your wanting to get into, its not a
springer youll be wanting. reason im saying this b4 anyone jumps
down my thoat I have a springer and lab the difference is night
and day in the water even though my springer is pretty big and
rough going he still doesn't compare to the lab. the springer
will retrieve everything I shoot but in rough weather it very
very heavy going for him.

I know what your sayin brendy! Problem is id like a dog thats
an all rounder and i figure a springer is the best all rounder.
Where do you wildfowl mate im hoping to get into a club
somewhere for next year

I love springers, but I always wondered if the was another breed
as versatile. Lad I know has Large Munsterlanders, and Ive shot
over them. Seem very good. Love to point, retrieve well and very
strong. Not sure what theyd be like in serious water....

Problem with all hpr breeds is if the wind isnt right your
wasting your time.
Never seen munsterlanders working but i hear theyre great
workers
