Shooting ranges

Right lads is there any place where I could join before my fac
is granted, to shoot a few different rifles to find out which
rifle suits me better, don't want to spend £700 on a set up to
find out I don't like the thing.

As babby asked it will depend on what rifle your are after as
not all gun clubs will allow centerfire rifles. Plus finding a
gun club that has the exact rifle you are after will be hard
plus you will have a fee to pay to join a club!! If you tried
buying through some of the dealers in the country they might
have land or shooting rights around the shop to let you try!

Your cheapest bet then would be to ask someone nicely on here
that has a 455 thumbhole to take you out for a run!

Thanks lads, but don't want to hassle anyone, plus they will
probably end up shooting me with the amount of questions I ask
lol

I've a 455 17hmr thumbhole if ur ever down this way, club guns
usually aren't a good guider by, there's cz 22's I'm my club and
the triggers are horrible, nothing compared to the trigger
upgrade on mine. Also daft question but why 22 with a thumbhole?
Reason I'm asking is the thumbhole stock makes them quite
weighty; it's not so bad for the longer range shots with an hmr
but could be a bit of a pain with a 22, just my 2p worth

Thanks lads, may give you a pm in a few weeks, I'm Belfast based
and have around 135 achers so even if you lads fancy a different
seanery your more than welcome. As for the reason why the
thumbhole stock I just like the look lol and the heavy barrel in
16"

Sheriff,
I have the .22 455 thumb hole and your welcome to try it. I'm
Belfast too and free this weekend if you want a shoot. If you
bring the land I'll bring the guns an ammo. I've lightened the
trigger myself an you can do it easily when you get yours. I'll
bring the .17 too, it has the American stock so you an feel the
difference between the two..
Anything to avoid putting this tree up.
Chris
