How olds to old to train

Hi guys,
I currently have a hungarian vizla bitch that is around 2.5years
old. Im pretty sure shes too old to train for a working dog, at
least for retrieving anyway, we have her more as a family pet
but would love to get her out but i dont think that is going to
happen. So i was thinking about getting another dog to train.
Im just wondering at what age do you think is too old to buy a
pup.
Im thinking of getting a lab as iv heard they are great working
dogs.

just but a pup ..then ...sorted .. then you can train it up from
scratch and if it goes wrong then you only have yourself to
blame lol ;D

I just happen to have a litter of lab pups here if your
interested in a pup. 2 1/2 would be a little old but would
really depend on the dog, you could prob manage to get it in
some sort way of going if both parents work. but imo you can
train a dog to a reasonable standard from 14/15 months but
really depends on the indivuall animal

our bitch is hyper, i never thought of training her when she was
younger as i had no need then. Although when out walking shes
forever going in and out of hedges so she could be good for
flushing. Saying that she a little stupid lol. Could you give
me more info on the labs brendy, colour, hip scores, parents,
male or bitch and probably most importantly cost lol. Im in a
bit of a weird spot for buying a dog. Spend alot of time at the
girlfriends house, so i would need to decide where i would keep
it. i want to be with it most of the time and dont want to rely
on others to look after it.

When are the pups ready to go? Will be talking this over with
the woman, see what she thinks. Always preferred the yellow
labs but the brown and black are also nice. Seen some nice dogs
on this site. Do you have any pics brendy. Sorry to be a pain
but as you know when you invest money in something you want to
be sure your getting what you want. What part of the country
are you in?

yeah there my pups on the forum. the pups are 8weeks on the 25
December, just gave them their first feed tonight and they
scuffed it down lol
