How long did it take for your fac

As above lads, I know its a silly question but wanted to know
from a personal point of view how long it took to get your fac
through, I know it's all different but I have £700 planked from
the wife for my .22 and if it takes months I might as well spend
it on Xmas ffs

Neighbour just got his through. Took 3 weeks from
the day it was applied for.

A fella told me recently it's the back ground checks that take
the time so if your involved in youth work you fac will be
quicker as the checks are already done!!

Yea, background is important..
Any involvment on the wrong side of the law, even parking
tickets or speeding fines will slow it down. I've even heard
stories of folks giving evidence at bar brawls and the like
slowing it down...
On the flip, being squeaky is almost as bad as you've no history
to check against.
It's a bit like your credit rating, if you are unknown then it's
harder...
Like Stewarty said, if you're known (in a good way) then things
are likely to process quicker...
Providing also your forms are complete and correct...

Don't mean to jump on an other topic, but I'm also waiting on my
FAC; What kind of things in general could you get refused for?

Being serious anything anger related will get you turned down ie
if your getting picked up all the time for starting fights!
Being involved in a bank robbery wouldn't be good either lol
