       Do u mean a uniquefire t20 with a olson 850nm emitter and
       updated driver?
The one the 66mm crelant aspheric lens fits on?

I recently bought a Cree HS-802 with red led after reading rave
reviews - all I can say is I'm not impressed. I already have a
wee Trustfire Z5 with cree XM-L T6 [albeit in white led] and it
is much superior. In fact if the square beam from the Z5 could
zoom a bit smaller it would be stunnung for the price. I have
shot rabbits out to 70 yards, no problem and could probably take
them further. The HS-802 is ok to 50 yards max, and even then
it's nothing special. What is the T20 combination you refer to
like Geoff? - one could end up buying a dozen of these things
       before you get anything worthwhile!

My z5 shines 200yards easy what batterys are you using?
The t20 is referred to at the best of the cheap torch snd slot
of people rant and rave about them.
Thry give you 200yards of light through a diy night vision setup
       whish is really good.
As for normal leds white and red is should shine past 250 with
       ease.
If uou looking for a proper hunting led torch there is only 2 I
       would pick
       Crelant 7g5cs
       Thrunite tn31
With xtar or keeppower 3400mah batterys no other with have the
       power to support this lights

Thanks for the reply Geoff, I an using 18650 4000mah batteries
       [HS-802 takes 1, Z5 takes 2] - can I assume the two torches you
recommend will come with led emitters and lens suitable for
hunting use?, or do I need to specify them when ordering? Are
both these still effective with red or green led's? - I'm
looking for something that will 'throw' much farther than either
of the two basic torches I already own.

I've got a red led 501B with the blacked out reflector and a
Deal Extreme aspherical lens fitted. Show's up eye shine to
about 100yds, but shooting distance is about 60 - 70 yards,
which is alright for under £20. I'm thinking of having a crack
at putting together one of the DIY NV rigs. I've a 501B with an
Olson IR led and an Ahorton lens kit. It's supposed to be good
for 100 yards, but time'll tell.

i ve the nm800 in white and red
white is about the 800 meter mark as why they call it that
(nm800) with red your getting about 350/400 meters at a cost of
£170 plus about 50 for different led (red)
the t20 is good in white to about 450/500 and 300 in red but at
£22 its very good only thing is you have to buy batteries and
charger after that another £25 the better batteries are
       Panasonic
as i only have a 17hmr these are more than good for what i want
to use them for even centre fire ranges theres not many people
       taking 300/350 shots at night
gone are the days of carrying a big battery around its more easy
to use one of these even to lamp using dogs
if anyone wants to come and see how good these are anytime
i ve also a homemade nv set up giving distances of 400 meters
clear as a bell too if interested
