first rooster of the season

I shot this boy and a snip this mornin I didn't get the snip as
it fell about 100 yards out on to a lake and my dog never seen
it fall and isn't trained enough to go that far back on a blind
retrieve, the cock fell to a 34grm #6 Fob .

happy days on the rooster but let me get this right you dropped
a snipe a 100yrds and the dog wouldn't go for it hmmmm! suppose
you cant blame the dog on that 1 as they do say they take after
their owners and as you don't like going off the footpaths y
would the dog consider it. lol
