I found the SAK moderator to be quieter than the Parker Hale,
yet others will tell you the opposite. SAK moderators cost
around £34-£36, and are far easier to clean than the PH. I also
believe you can swap a moderator for another in any dealer
without filling in any paperwork. That is providing the
moderator is for the same caliber. You will probably get a poor
trade in price for your existing mod.

dancake when i was sold my moderator... i was told dont even
bother trying to clean it. lol ive only fired 200 rounds through
it. theres enough crack from the subs to send rabbits running
       at 70 yards

Many rimfire moderator manufacturers will tell you not to bother
cleaning them. When you see the build up of crap first hand you
will understand why they should be cleaned. There should be no
crack whatsoever from a moderated subsonic shot going off. What
       rounds are you using?

My personal experience with CCI subs were that they were very
inconsistent where velocity was concerned. I fired about 40
rounds out of my rifle and gave the rest away. Some of them were
coming out like HV rounds. Saying that, it may not be the case
with yourself. I'd try some Eley or RWS subs. Both of these
rounds are well below the 1050 fps mark. See if you notice a
difference then. If not, a new moderator may be the way forward.

no no mate.. id very much agree with you on that. some crack
like a hv round. others are quieter. maybe you are right change
the round and see how that goes :) il give that a go. cheers.

I have no moderator on my .22lr BRNO and use either Eley or
Winchester subs and noise is low. When you use HV of any sort
the noise is much louder something not right.!!
