GENERAL ADVICE ON LAMPING FOR FOXES

Hello all again, Mac here. I'm relatively new to lamping for
foxes. I have .222 rifle, 140 light-force light and red and
amber lenses and lithium battery. Only shot one fox after 15
outings and light has scared four foxes away all within 100
yards. I am considering night-vision and would like opinions
and advice from shooters with this gear and from shooters who
lamp.
Also opinions on stealth cam, coloured lenses, mouth calls and
remote calls.
All advice greatly appreciated.

I like the mojo super critter predator caller but havnt used it
enough to give it a definite thumbs up. Before youblook at nv
few questions to ask...
How are the foxes being scared by the light? (Ie running as soon
as they see it or sitting far out and not coming in?£
What filter you using?
How long are you keeping the lamp on them?
How are you callin them at the moment?
Does anyone else shoot the land (with or without permission)
that could be making them lamp shy?
Reason I'm asking is that lamps normally work well from personal
experience, if the lamp is scaring them off it's usually
(personal experience) that either you're holding the lamp on
them for too long, and scaring them, or someone else is doing it
and makin them lamp shy; could be one or two other reasons but
those are the lost common I've come across :-\

thanks for reply.where did u get the mojo call. some sit far
out. i turn light off when i c eyes & if i think its close
enough for shot i get ready turn light on get eyes in edge of
beam but when i drop beam on fox for shot its away instantly.
useing amber filter. useing home made call casette tape & lolly
sticks. some of the land has been lamped before me. i think your
right that they have been frightened before. what height of
bipod would u recomend

sounds like youre doing it right, maybe try a red filter instead
of the amber for starters, I usually find red works best; got
the mojo critter came from eBay, can't say how effective it
really is but the theory behind it is good - when you call foxes
with a caller the fox is looking at you, so unless youre well
camouflaged they're going to see you: also the moving decoy bit
adds movement for them to be attracted to, videos online show it
working well on coyotes etc in the USA, but it's all daytime;
I've used it at night twice with only one fox showing up, will
be using it more often when I get my 222 back from being
duracoated but until then cat say anything for definite lol

Dump the amber filter and get a red one, don't call too hard or
too often and always look over your shoulder you'll be amazed
how many foxes come in from behind and sit and watch you
