muntjac deer information session

Quercus, in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Environment
Agency, will be holding a muntjac information session on
Wednesday 16th October in the Londonderry Room, Ards Art Centre,
Town Hall, Conway Square, Newtownards from 7- 9pm. They will be
highlighting the recent muntjac research carried out within the
Ards Peninsula. Light refreshments will also be available
may be of interest to some of yous ,we have a few on our ground
but only seen when lamping

The bds sent me an email about that it sounds like they might be
looking rid off some of them :-). You would see them first thing
in the morning and last thing at night best.

Should make them legal to lamp , and using dogs .. got a lurcher
here I'd love to try on them :D

leave them alone and let them get a good population built up,
instead of trying to clear them, then everybody could get a bit
of sport,

see them lol let them breed and spread out

thats it lads the more the better!! i know there was 6 roe deer
released and they didnt last too long they were tortured once
they were seen they were shot at and run with dogs,a nice
population of muntjac would be great

I'm all on for letting them build up to but some people are
looking rid off them because off the increase in car accident
involving them. I have seen munti about a year ago not to far
from Armagh while out lamping and I hear there is a lot more off
them now but some off the local farmers are starting to get them
shot.
