Stick making - first effort

I took a notion to make a thumb stick/shooting stick
This is my first ever attempt at making a stick, I know it's not
great but I'm quite please with it !!
I have now got a taste for it, so I'm on the look out for more
hazel or blackthorn etc so if you know of any areas with them
growing let me know .... Please

bit far mate but if you wana take a trip this direction there's
a load of blackthorn at the bottom of my front field - my
grandfather and father have made many sticks outa that hedge
