       SACS Assistant Director appointed

       Just saw this on the SACS website;
       Appointment of SACS Assistant Director
       After a long and difficult search to find the correct person for
       the job, we are delighted to announce the appointment of our new
       Assistant Director, Alex Stoddart.  Born on Skye, his deep
       personal interest in all country sports, combined with his track
       record in business and commerce make him the ideal choice to
       help maintain and improve the top quality service we provide for
       our members as we continue to grow and move forward into the
       future.

       At SACS every member is valued as an individual and I look
       forward to working with Ian and the team to vigorously defend
       the best interests of country sportsmen and women and provide
       our members with unrivalled service, benefits and value for
       money.
       We are a rapidly growing association, but will never become
       bigger than our members. At SACS each and every voice matters
       and will be heard.
       Whether you shoot, fish, stalk, hunt, fly hawks, work terriers –
       whatever your country sport is -  there will be no half measures
       or empty rhetoric at SACS. We will not compromise our high
       standards and will work with dedication on your behalf.  No
       threat to our sports or livelihood will go unchallenged.
       Our country sports have never been under greater threat; these
       are challenging times. Right now we have the farcical airgun
       licensing proposals, driven by the heedless political ambition
       and personal prejudice of individual politicians. SACS stands at
       the forefront of the campaign to stop this ill-conceived law
       coming into force and will challenge it at every stage.
       On a personal level, it is a privilege for me to use my
       experience to promote and protect country sports across Scotland
       and the wider UK.  I am committed to offering members the
       highest possible level of service. In the spirit of Hebridean
       hospitality, my door is always open and I am looking forward to
       serving you all.
