this is my wee tiercel peregrine that im in the middle of
training, he will be used for snipe once i get him up and going
we are not far away from going free now few pics

i start with getting the bird used to me, being handled,
touching in round its feet, then hooding, then getting him to
hop from his perch to the lure for food, then increase the
distance from his perch to the lure and then once he coming to
me 50-60 yards i let them go free...

the harris are good craic for flying at rabbits i flew a male at
crows and pheasants he was a craicing wee bird 1lb 3 was his
flying weight,worst mistake of my life was selling him he took
over 300 head of quarry in the 3 years that i hunted him, but
ive always wanted to be flying falcons and now im going to give
it ago,

Handled a golden eagle in Scotland.
Would they tackle deer?

Golden eagles are used in the likes of Hungary etc for roe deer,
falcons are for mainly winged prey, this wee boyo will be hunted
at snipe or magpies might start him on magpies first, he won't
be able to fly away with them the same as he would be able to
with a snipe... Just to get him going, the. Switch to snipe
later on..
