Rough shooting in Dumfries and Galloway

I am attending a wedding in Gretna on 2nd November and am keen
to take in a day's rough shooting when I'm in the area. Anyone
recommend somewhere that will cater for an individual gun (happy
to be put in with a group)? Have been looking online but no joy
as yet.

Hi Keith, hope you,re well?
Give SACS a ring on +44(0)1698 885206 and speak to elspeth in
the office, they have their office just an hour up the road.
There are grouse moors within the wider area and goose shooting
along the Galloway coast, though I,ve never been able to do
either.
Remember the cartridge restrictions on the ferries so check out
the SaCS website or BASC as it has the details too. Also
carrying weapons. sACS also do discount for members on the
ferry, it,s either stena or p and o, I can't remember.

Also forgot to say, if you,ve any money spare for a bigger
shoot, drumlanrig estate have a web page showing organised
formal and informal shoots if you fancy spending time with the
arse a crockery, sorry i mean aristocracy.
The estate is the venue for the drumfires and Galloway fair in
August each year.

theres a hotel in strangaer has a guide that does duck/goose
flights and rough shooting i think its the harbour inn

Cheers, I've been emailing every shoot I can find online and for
my dates as yet nobody can fit in a single gun. Did get an
offer of an evening duck shooting but I was hoping to get a full
day out of it. Will try SACS and the Harbour Inn.
