Badger cull

Just noticed that every report about the badger cull says
marksmen with high power rifles will be shooting the badgers at
night in the open, not using traps. Is it just me or does it
sound like they're using techical terms to say theyve given
local hunters permission to lamp them? Or are they all defra
employees or something?

Think it will be local hunters as they know the ground-cant
imagine to many Dard employees willing to work after dark
anyways!! I had seen an article one time (was an english based
magazine so not sure how would apply) but they were saying there
would be a small number of licences issued to local hunters and
possibly a grant on night vision equipment! I would need grant
for rifle to tho!

they have been secretly setting up feed stations over the last
4/6 weeks and doing land walks marking down there earths and
feed trails as for whos shooting it will more than likely
outside people for fear of reprisals
glad its happening it needs done over here i watched 3 times the
local farmers herd being destroyed closing him down from moving
any cattle in or out for 6 months ,he had to have 2 clear tests
on his herd b4 allowed to sell any
a lot of vet/feed bills that he had not planned and insurance
companys pay out is a insult

quite possibly will be pest control agencies etc. they will prob
put a large bore rifle condition on it therefore limiting the
number of people who will qualify.
DC i know all about it i've had many customers who have
struggled to pay me due to tb they cant sell untill they get a
clean bill of health. That means they can go out of business due
to tb as if you can't sell for 2/3 years its def not good.

Should of never gave them so much protection , if the terrier
lads would of still been allowed to dig them there wouldn't be
this problem
