This time next week packing the gear for the ducks can't

your right ss theres alot about but its tradition to be out the
first morning just have to be sporting on what and how many we
shoot
as for packing and getting ready i ve that done just keep
checking i have everything lol

There's a lot of small birds around me , it's more of just
getting out on the 1st for me.I won't be that bothered about
numbers,although it would be nice to come home with a duck

well im cutting it fine AGAIN ffs decoys still to weight,
cartrigdes still to buy, cant find my half choke and new boat
trailer still to make. hmmmmmmmm oh agh new dog pen to buy flag
an area for it and finish of moving. not that bad I suppose lol.

got the first weekend in september booked off, fri til tuesday,
so if i can remember how to use a shotgun ill take a walk along
a river or two and see what pops up. not big into ducks (ie dont
feed anywhere etc) but we scared a couple up last week when we
were after foxes so might get one or two if im lucky :)

usualy take a walk out on the first day but not really out for
big numbers if i get 1 or 2 thats enough for me last year i
walked a strectch of river i flushed 3 duck and shot the 3 with
3 shots and that was me for the day . i then would mayabe walk a
few local streams/rivers every sat just shooting 1 or 2 duck
plus a few bits i walk a lot of the duck are reared duck from a
near by shoot/estate that fly out from the ponds in the shoot 2
sit in the river/streams

i havent seen any ducks at all in the last 2 weeks but il still
go out for a we walk up the river. then come back that night and
get myself tucked in to see if any come in to a pool at night.
if they do then brilliant, if not then it will just be nice to
get out. :)
