Ive heard from a few people about old rifles (eg ww1 mausers,
etc) that you can own without a licence. now im not talking
about deactivated firearms, these guns are 100% fully
functional, but the ammo for them is nearly impossible to find
and so theyre classed as obsolete. anyone know what the true
story is with these? Ive seen them for sale on market stalls
before, but always been very wary about it ???

Yes you can have them, but they have to go on your FAC like
anyother gun. It states on your FAC that it is possession only
and can not be used and you are not allowed ammo for it. I think
you have to say you want it for sentimental reasons
I only know as my mate has 2 really old pistols on his FAC
