.22 WMR Ammo
By: beanieboy Date: July 31, 2013, 3:00 am

Anyone using the new 30g V-max ammo for the WMR? - supposed to
be hard hitting and gives good accuracy. It is reported to have
led to a bit of a revival for this calibre in some areas. I
fancy something with a bit more grunt than my .22lr - I used to
have a HMR but never really warmed to it, even though it was
superbly accurate - just found it too much gun for rabbit, and
not enough real knockdown for fox. I would still use the .22lr
for most of my shooting, my son could take the WMR [if I go for
one] for longer range rabbits or for mr fox, should he make an
appearance [which he often does!]. Would be interested to hear
from anyone using the WMR, regardless of which ammo they are
using.

No, WMR is a larger calibre then .22lr.

No it's not, it's the same calibre, but the cases are different.

Knew when I'd said it, it was incorrect, couldn't be bothered
changing it. 8)
