I shoot my woodcock all over but usually no farther than 15miles
from Portglenone and quite often I just start walking from the
house.

Funny enough 2 of the 8 on the bonnet of the landrover are a
l+r. the first birds that rose that day. That was boxing day
2011. Had 2 pairs last year and 5 altogether. Its over rated!
Not.

very impressive pics woodcock1, I used to get numbers like that
in my early 20's when I shot a lot around Fivemiletown &
Brookborough, I never shot more than 4/5 in a day out though,
these days I'd only take 2/3 if I can get them, I was out with
a friend last year and we put up 12 in an hour'n half I shot 2 &
he shot 1, that's the most i've seen on an outtin in many years.
keep your pics comin mate

I dont often flush huge numbers in a day. 20 would be pretty
good. I know a guy who often rises 40+ in a day out but it is in
dense forestry and very few offer a chance of a shot.
