would love to see what it does to a ballistic gel block that has
bones in it, ie something like this thy use on deadliest warrior
HTML http://www.ballisticsdummy.com/Ballistics_Dummies___As_Seen_on_DEADLIEST_WARRIOR___files/ballisticsdummieslogoweb.jpg
before anyone says it im NOT looking to find out what it does to
a person lol, what im thinking is ballistic gel is supposedly
the same density as flesh, but it doesnt take into consideration
what would happen if the round came into contact with bone, so
its not really a realistic test - the fact the round at 300
yards didnt expand makes me think it wouldnt have alot of energy
left to punch through bone. hmm... any suggestions what could be
used to simulate bone density, piece of 1/2" ply maybe? wouldnt
be too hard to set up your own experiment, ballistics gel is
just thick set jelly, would be interesting to mix some up....

The .22 does go 300yds as showen but who could hit something
with it. Even a light wind would move the bullet. .22 stick to
100yds are less. Bigger ranges you need bigger bullets.

dont worry were not talking about hunting at this range, its
purely speculation about the power of a .22lr. i wouldnt even
chance my .222 at 300 yards at the minute, never mind a .22lr
lol
