       Legislation!

Maybe we should also start agitating for a change in legislation
to better our shooting as well! Here ae a few ideas:
       1) Push for Sunday shooting, there are times when i have to work
Saturdays, after all shops, pubs, restaurants and other
businesses open now, its time for a change here!?
       2) Legislation in the NI governing the use of firearm calibre is
different here than in England, Scotland and Wales for the
shooting different types of Quarry eg, You CANNOT use a .243 to
shoot a fox, but its the minimum requirement to shoot Deer,
whereas in other jurisdictions, you can shoot Deer and fox with
22-250 or even .222 (roe), this means you need 2 separate
firearms if you fox shoot and Deer hunt, surly common sense
       should prevail here!
I am sure others have similar ideas were legislation cant be
made more accommodating to suit the needs of hunters?

Point 1 will open a can of worms but I personally would have to
agree with you. Things are tough all over at the minute and
saturdays often have to be worked to make ends meet and that
       only leaves sunday.

I understand that but like everything else if we dont push for
change who will, its not good enough this day and age that we
cant do what we want when we want without the prospect of having
       a conviction hanging over us!?

although I'd say it'll be a hard one to get through it would get
my vote, after all there's football and many other spectator
sports played on Sunday and there is clay pigeon shootin too,
I'm all for shooters havin equal opportunities especially for
game shootin during the game season.

Sunday shooting would be a good thing to have, but you would
need massive numbers to campaign for it. Not likely to happen
       anytime soon.

I dont think that is at all correct, the so called ANTI's are
small in number but have a massive PR campaign and they get
their message across, what are we paying into these shooting
groups for if they will not articulate our views! We need to
       get out act together quickly!

i agree with Springerman, we all need to stand united against
the anti's, our organisations we pay into each year need also to
stand together instead of scorin points against each other, but
please don't think that anti's are small in numbers they're not
there are thousands of them all over the UK & Ireland and many
of them are high profile people i.e. Brian May (Queen) who's
currently heavily involved in tryin to spoil our sports.
