Has anyone ever heard of an Anschutz 1441/1442 before, thinking
of getting one second hand and just wanted a bit of info. Any
good etc, looks ok feels ok but not an expert.

i was chatting to the Anschutz rep and he told me the following:
The 1441/42 was not readily available within the UK so you wont
get much UK web based information on it. It is a sweet little
.22 with an underrated look. It is a great firearms but you my
find that it has seen a lot of use. My advise would be to look
at the firing pin on the bolt for chips and ware points. It
would be an easy job to change the firing pin but you might find
it hard to find one. Also check out the rifling inside the
barrel. Make sure you can see it clearly and again has no ware.
Price dependent and if the pin and barrel look fine i would go
for it. See if he will let you take it out for a few shots.
       Hope this helps
       ;D
