St. John's point on Sunday there for 4 hours and not a fish to
be had. Nothing coming up on the boats either. Apparently the
best time for Mackerel is at the end of August. I tried
spinners, feathers, plankton rigs and ragworm but nothing bit.
Ended up coming home like a lobster with the sunburn lol

Went see fishing last week from Carrick Harbour up to Blackhead,
very few mackerel caught between 10 of us.
Captain radioed other boats, they were struggling also.
The other fish we caught, (cod etc) were pretty small and mostly
went back.

Couple of dozen mackerel off Bangor pier at the week end over
the sat and sun with high tide bout 3ish each day. Average I
suppose.
Anyone doing well at the minute?

Last week buncrana pier supposed to have fished well. Over
50makeral caught... And that was tide running off at least
2hours.
