pigeon cartridges

lads what the best cartridges for pigeons.. also where does them
at the right money.. i think im getting ripped off at 70 quid
for 250 as i see some guys on here getting 1000 for 150 quid?

yea i was buying rio 6 and a halfs.. will the 7 and a halfs take
down pigeons and crows at a decent range ?

Pigeon I use 28gr 7.5 ELEY Firsts, but for crow I use 36gr 4's
GB
I found I was getting a lot of wounded crows, even with 6's but
the 4's seem to drop them like bricks even at 60-70 yards

any of the cheapest 28grm loads & 2 x 1/2 chokes will kill
pigeons inside 40 yrds all day long, any pigeon outside that
should be allowed to fly on to hopefully come back into to you
again, only take on a shot that you know you can kill as there's
no sport in takin clouds of feathers outta birds only for them
for die out of sight later, you don't need to waste money on
heavy loads if you know to shoot within your comfort zone.

Lough View guns are doing 1000x 28grm load for £150. Hes running
this offer this week on the Shoot NI website. Its just not
uploaded yet. ;)

Its wierd, but the crows in this part of the country seem to
have super qualities lol. Everyone I've invited to shoot here
has remarked on the fact that they often take several shots to
bring down if using light loads. Inside 20-25 metres they drop
okay (but are often still alive) but outside that they often
just fly on drop maybe 1-2 mile away dead as a door nail lol.
Ask BABBYC1000 and a few others.
That's why I went to the 36gr 4's for shooting here. Everywhere
else the crows drop the same as the pigeons, it just seems to be
round here that they seem to be extra hardy LOL

Lol, well I invite him to shoot crows so I can take
incriminating photos of him. Last time he wen home with his arse
